Making Identellica the Central Naming System of the Ryan X. Charles App Suite
On every given app, each user must have a name. In order for users to identify each other uniquely, each name must be globally unique. In order to make it possible for users to “get their name” once and for all, as well as to enable a market for names, I have decided to make Identellica the central naming service for all of my apps moving forward.
How it Works
The way this works is as follows. Most apps let you register for free. However, Identellica requires paid membership. For users who pay for Identellica membership, you will be able to verify your name on other apps and synchronize your Identellica name to that app. Meaning, once you get your Identellica name, you “get your name” on all apps.

The First App: EarthBucks
As recently announced on the EarthBucks blog, I’m also happy to announce that the first phase of EarthBucks integration is complete, and you can now verify your EarthBucks account with Identellica. When you verify, it synchronizes your Identellica name to EarthBucks. Because I am verified, my username on EarthBucks is also “ryan”:
More Apps to Come
This will be the convention for all my apps moving forward. Every app with a standard user system will allow you to synchronize your name from Identellica to that app. Thus, if you want to “get your name”, and use it for yourself as well as to prevent others from using it, you can do so by verifying your name on Identellica.
What Happens When Two People Want the Same Name?
If a user of one of my apps, such as EarthBucks, has a name that is reserved by a member of Identellica, and the Identellica user verifies their account on EarthBucks, then the existing user with that name will be renamed to the user ID number and will lose the Identellica name. Thus, if you truly want to “get your name”, you must verify your name on Identellica.
A Market for Names
In addition to reserving your own name, I also have a planned market for names where you will be able to purchase additional names which can be sold. This feature is currently at the idea stage and I will provide more information as we get closer to implementation.
What Happened to Artintellica Names?
Artintellica was an AI app I created where some users purchased and reserved a large number of names. All Artintellica names are reserved on Identellica. When I implement the market for names, I will release all Artintellica names back to the same users who owned them on Artintellica. If you are one of a small handful of users who had multiple Artintellica names, don’t worry, they are reserved for you.
Conclusion
